Sleep has been part of my story for as long as I can remember.

As a child, sleep was difficult for me, and there were very few supportive options available to my mom. Looking back now, I can see how much she was trying to navigate on her own, without guidance or reassurance that felt truly helpful.

Years later, when I became a parent, I found myself in a familiar place. With both of my children, I wanted to support their sleep in a way that felt respectful and responsive, but I often felt alone in figuring out how to do that. I knew sleep mattered — not just for rest, but for regulation, development, and daily life — yet I struggled to find approaches that aligned with how I wanted to parent.

What I noticed, both through my own experience and through my work as a pediatric occupational therapist, was that progress came from offering the right amount of support at the right time, and then intentionally easing that support as confidence and skills developed. Providing help first, and then fading that support with clear guidance, allowed sleep to become more settled without feeling forced or overwhelming. That pattern became the foundation of how I approach sleep today.

Through my work across the lifespan in health and wellness, I’ve seen how deeply sleep affects not only children, but parents and the family as a whole. When sleep improves, families often feel more grounded, more connected, and better able to enjoy their days together.

Morning Light Sleep Coaching grew out of that understanding. My goal is to offer families steady, compassionate guidance — support that feels realistic, encouraging, and forward-moving — so they can rest more easily and move toward brighter, more joyful days.
